Your Idea. Our Engineering. Built Together.

Most injection moulders in Pakistan work with existing designs โ€” you bring a part, they quote a price and run it. APPL can do that too. But our real capability is in what happens before the mould is cut: the engineering conversation about what the part needs to do, what material it should be made from, how it should be designed to minimise cost and maximise performance, and how the mould should be built to produce it consistently.

This makes APPL the right partner for new product development โ€” when the part does not exist yet and needs to be created. Our in-house mould shop, R&D facility, and colour compounding capability mean we can iterate quickly: from sketch to 3D model, to mould, to first sample, to approved production part โ€” all under one roof.

We work with businesses of all sizes: from a first-time entrepreneur developing a consumer product, to an established manufacturer adding a new plastic component to their line, to an engineering company that needs a precision housing made exactly to drawing.

Two Ways to Start

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

I have an idea. I need help developing it.

You have a product concept โ€” something you want to exist that does not yet. You may have a sketch, a mood board, a competitor product, or just a problem you need solved in plastic. APPL's R&D team will work with you to translate your brief into a manufacturable design, develop the mould, and take you through to production approval.

This path suits new product launches, product redesigns, import substitution projects, and any situation where the part needs to be created from scratch.

Start Development
DRAWING TO PART

I have a drawing or sample. I need it manufactured.

You already have a design โ€” a 2D or 3D drawing, a CAD file, or a physical sample. You need a manufacturer who can build the mould, produce parts to drawing, and supply them consistently. APPL provides a DFM review at the enquiry stage, quotes within 24 hours, and can have first samples ready within weeks.

This path suits companies looking to localise imported parts, existing products moving to a new manufacturer, or engineering firms with defined specifications to fulfil.

Everything Under One Roof

Custom manufacturing projects succeed when all the steps are coordinated. Because APPL controls every stage internally, there are no communication gaps, no handoffs between vendors, and no one to blame when something goes wrong.

๐Ÿ“

Product Design & DFM

3D modelling and design-for-manufacturability review on every new project. We check wall thickness uniformity, draft angles, undercut geometry, gate location, and ejection mechanism โ€” advising on design changes that reduce cycle time, improve part quality, and lower tooling cost before any steel is committed.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ

In-House Mould Making

Our mould shop builds tooling for single-cavity prototyping through to multi-cavity production moulds. Steel selection, core/cavity machining, cooling circuit design, and mould fitting are all done on-site โ€” giving us control over quality and the ability to modify quickly based on first-sample feedback.

๐Ÿ”ฌ

R&D & Material Development

Unsure what material your part should be made from? Our R&D team evaluates the mechanical, thermal, and chemical requirements of your application and recommends the right polymer grade. We can also develop custom compound blends โ€” adding reinforcement, colourant, UV stabiliser, or flame retardant as the application demands.

๐ŸŽจ

Colour Compounding

Any colour, mixed in-house. We match Pantone references, RAL codes, and physical colour chips. Compound is formulated and stored for your part โ€” ensuring that every production batch, regardless of when it is ordered, matches the colour you approved at the sample stage.

โšก

Prototyping & First Articles

The fastest way to validate a design is in the actual material, from the actual mould. We produce first-article samples from production tooling โ€” not rapid prototyping stand-ins โ€” so that what you test is what you will receive in production. Dimensional reports and material certificates accompany every first article submission.

๐Ÿ”

Quality Control

In-process QC checks at production. Dimensional inspection against drawing tolerances. Visual inspection against approved appearance standards. Hardness and material testing in our on-site lab. We despatch only parts that have been verified against the specification โ€” every batch, every time.

Industries We Serve

Custom injection moulding is not an industry โ€” it is a manufacturing process that serves every industry. If the part is plastic and you need it made precisely, consistently, and at a competitive cost, APPL can help.

How a Custom Project Runs

01

Brief & Discovery

We start with a conversation โ€” or an email, or a WhatsApp message with a photo. Tell us what the part needs to do, what environment it operates in, how it connects to other components, and what quantity you expect to use. The more we understand the application, the better the engineering outcome.

02

Material Selection

Based on your requirements โ€” structural load, temperature range, chemical exposure, appearance, food contact, flame rating โ€” we specify the right polymer grade. We explain the options and the trade-offs so you make an informed decision, not just accept a default choice.

03

Design & DFM

If you have a drawing, we review it for manufacturability. If you are starting from a brief or a sketch, we model the part in 3D and present a design for your approval. Changes at this stage cost nothing beyond time โ€” changes after tooling begins are expensive.

04

Tooling & First Samples

The mould is built in our on-site workshop. You are kept informed of progress. First samples are dimensionally checked and presented with a report. We iterate โ€” adjusting mould steel where needed โ€” until samples meet specification.

05

Production & Ongoing Supply

With samples approved and process locked, production begins. Your mould is stored and maintained by us. Repeat orders are fulfilled against the same process parameters โ€” the 5,000th part will match the first. You can scale volumes up or down as your business demands.

The Right Partner for Bespoke Projects

๐Ÿค

Engineering Partnership, Not Just Production

We are not a passive manufacturer that runs parts to drawing without comment. If your design has a problem, we will tell you โ€” and propose a solution โ€” before any tooling is built. That saves you money and accelerates your project.

โšก

Speed Through Integration

Because design, tooling, colour compounding, moulding, and QC all happen in-house, there are no vendor coordination delays. A decision made on Monday can be reflected in revised tooling by Wednesday. We move at the speed your project needs.

๐Ÿ”’

Your IP Stays Yours

Your designs, specifications, and product concepts are confidential. We do not share client designs, production details, or commercial information with other clients or third parties. You own your mould and your design โ€” full stop.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Scale From Sample to Volume

Start with a small first run for testing and market validation. When your product takes off, scale production on the same mould. We have the machine capacity to grow with you โ€” from 500 pieces to 500,000 pieces over time.

๐Ÿ’ฌ

Accessible, Responsive Team

Custom projects need clear communication. At APPL, your enquiry reaches the engineers making decisions about your project โ€” not a sales layer that then translates your requirements. WhatsApp, email, or in-person: we are accessible and we respond.

๐Ÿ“

Local โ€” With Full Capability

Based in Lahore. No import delays, no foreign exchange exposure on tooling, no 12-week shipping lead times. The full capability of a modern injection moulding facility โ€” without leaving Pakistan's supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have an idea but no drawing. Can you still help?

Absolutely. Many of the most interesting custom projects we work on start with nothing more than a verbal brief, a sketch on paper, or a reference product. Our engineering team will translate your brief into a 3D design, review it with you, and iterate until it is exactly what you need before any tooling is built. A drawing helps, but it is not a prerequisite.

How do you handle confidentiality?

We treat all client design information as confidential as a matter of policy. We do not share designs, specifications, or commercial terms between clients. If you require a formal Non-Disclosure Agreement before sharing design details, we are happy to sign one โ€” contact us to arrange this before your first submission.

What is a realistic budget for a custom mould?

Mould cost depends on part size, complexity, number of cavities, and the material being processed. Simple single-cavity moulds for small parts can be very affordable. Multi-cavity moulds for complex parts with side-actions are higher investment. We quote transparently โ€” once we have reviewed your design, we will give you a clear mould cost and per-part production price. No hidden charges.

How long does it take from first enquiry to production?

The typical timeline from confirmed order to first production samples is 4โ€“8 weeks, depending on part complexity. Simple single-cavity moulds for uncomplicated parts can be faster. Complex multi-cavity moulds with side-actions or hot runners take longer. Once samples are approved, repeat production orders are fulfilled in 1โ€“3 weeks. We give you a project schedule with every confirmed order.

Can I localise a part that I am currently importing from China?

This is one of the most common custom manufacturing projects we take on. You provide the imported sample or drawing, we review it for local manufacturability, quote for tooling and production, and produce first samples for comparison against your imported reference. Local production typically reduces cost by 30โ€“50% and eliminates the lead time and foreign exchange exposure of import supply.

What happens to the mould if I stop ordering?

The mould is your asset โ€” you own it. If you stop ordering, the mould continues to be stored at APPL at no charge for a reasonable period. If you decide to move production or discontinue the part, you can request the mould be returned or decommissioned. We will never reuse, modify, or share your mould without your written authorisation.

Tell Us What You Need Made

A sketch, a photo, a sample, a drawing, or just a description โ€” any of these is enough to start. We will review it, ask the right questions, and come back to you with a clear picture of what is possible and what it will cost.
